trouble at the park

The park was empty when Lucy helped tiny Lucas up on one of the swings. when Lucas and Lucy arrived.  Lucy gave him a firm push into the air, and sat in the swing right next to him.
“Are you happy about moving?” she asked.
“Sure! Dad let me see a bunch of pictures of an awesome mountain, we will be able to see from the living room in our new house.” answered Lucas.
Lucas started kicking his legs, to make the swing go higher.
“Are you happy about moving?” he asked.
“I am happy for a fresh start!  Hopefully we can make friends and go to a public school for once.” she replied.
Lucy kicked her legs, trying to go higher than Lucas on the swing.
“Why do we need to move?” asked Lucas.
“Mom and dad are in the military!” Lucy replied. “John reports to the President of the United States,  I think he used to be a spy or something.”
“Why does he need to meet with the President?” asked Lucas.
Before Lucy could answer two boys came up behind them.
“Look Eddy, there is a talking baby on my swing, and his ugly big sister is on yours!” the shorter boy said laughing.
Lucy quickly jumped off of her swing and walked over to the taller boy named Eddy.  She made a very mad dog looking face.
“Was I on your swing?” she asked Eddy.
“I didn’t say anything!” Eddy replied.
He took a few steps back, running into his smaller friend.
“The park has four swings! Use the other one.” Lucy demanded.
Eddy was quietly walking towards another swing.  Lucy also turned to sit back on her swing, when the shorter bully pulled the swing out from under her.
Lucy fell hard on the sand.
That was it!  Lucas was now losing control of his temper.
“LEAVE MY SISTER ALONE!” he shouted.
Lucas carefully jumped off of his swing and ran over to the bully, pushing him as hard as he could.  He was just too small, and just bounced right back, almost falling.
“Get away from me, little Elf!” the bully shouted, throwing Lucas over to the lawn.
Lucas landed a few feet away and was grasping the blades of grass between his fingers.  He could feel it dying as his anger began altering the energy from the grass into pure darkness, removing all light.
Lucas shouted, as loud as he possibly could.
“STOP!”
The grass everywhere in the park, died in less than a second, causing every bird to immediately take off into the air. Even the wind came to a complete stop.
The bully took a few steps back, frightened,  as Eddy helped Lucy get back on her feet.
Lucy pushed him away and walked over to Lucas, to help him up.
“Are you okay?” she asked.
Lucas looked terrified.
Eddy went over to the bully and was about to yell at him for pushing Lucas, when he shouted.
“LOOK!”
Eddy stopped and turned to see what he was talking about.
He saw every tree and bush in the park losing its leaves, and dying.  Even the flowers and weeds started to wither and die.
“What’s happening?” Lucas asked Lucy.
“I’m not sure.” she replied.
Both of the other boys became so frightened about what was happening, they turned and ran home.
Lucy was not afraid.
“THAT IS AWESOME!” she shouted.
“No it was not!” replied Lucas.
He felt so guilty and sorry for losing his temper, he started running home as fast as he could to speak with John.
Before he could even make it half way across the park, he saw John running towards him.
“What happened?” John asked.
Lucas was breathing heavy and trying to speak.
“A bully was here and something very bad happened when I got angry!” Lucas explained.
“Everything is going to be just fine.  Just take deep breaths!” he insisted. “Try and stay calm!”
John took off his shoes and sox, before walking over to the largest oak tree in the park.  The leaves were quickly dying and falling to the ground.  He placed his hands on the trunk of the tree and buried his toes deep into the dirt near the base of the tree.
Suddenly, the wind began to blow much stronger than before, taking away every dead leaf and twig in the park.  The ground under the oak tree began to move as fresh branches and leaves began to grow, more beautiful than before.
All of the birds returned, flying in circles around the park as all of the other trees began recovering as well.
The park was soon green and fresh, better than it was before.  The grass returned thick and dark green, growing even taller than Lucas.
Lucy lifted Lucas off the ground before he disappeared in the grass.
“Did you know dad could do that?” she asked. “How is that possible?”
Lucas just watched with his mouth wide open.
